Lori is a fourth grade teacher at Hiawatha Elementary school. Prior to fifth grade she also taught fifth and second grade, making this her 23rd year teaching. She has a Bachelor's in elementary education and a Master's in educational leadership. Among other accolades, Lori has had training through Apple as well as being an avid self taught techie. She developed a "flipped classroom" method of teaching math using Blendspace while also incorporating a myriad of technology, so she can better differentiate according to her student's needs. Currently, she incorporated the Launch book into the curriculum as part of design thinking. Her favorite adventure in technology includes writing parodies to modern songs and having her students extend their learning by singing and starring in music videos!
